(01) About this tool

What the Google Location SERP Viewer does

Rankings depend on where the searcher stands. A shop in Lahore that sits fifth for "leather jackets" when searched from Lahore can be absent from Karachi's results and invisible from London, because Google folds the searcher's location into every query. Your own browser cannot show you another city's results: Google reads your IP address and account history and tailors the page to you. The uule parameter is how Google's own advertising preview tools solve this: it carries an encoded canonical place name, such as "Lahore,Punjab,Pakistan", and Google serves the results a person in that place would see.

This viewer builds that URL for you. Pick a location from the list of countries and cities (or type any canonical name), choose the interface language, the number of results per page and the country code if you want to override the one the location implies, and the tool assembles the exact Google address with the keyword, num, hl, gl, pws=0 to switch off personalisation, and the uule. Copy it or open it in a new tab; the results you see are live Google results for that place, not a scraped copy. The encoded uule is decoded next to the link so you can confirm which place it names.

Google only serves results to a browser running JavaScript and answers automated requests with a verification page, which is why this tool opens Google for you instead of fetching the page on our server and guessing. To find a domain in the opened results, use the browser's find command (Ctrl+F or Cmd+F) with the domain name; the tool shows that reminder with the domain you type. Everything here runs in your browser; the keyword and domain are not sent to our server.

(02) How to use

Step by step

  1. 01Type the keyword exactly as a searcher would, without quotes or operators.
  2. 02Pick a location from the suggestions, such as Lahore,Punjab,Pakistan or London,England,United Kingdom, or type a canonical name of your own. The country code follows the location unless you override it.
  3. 03Choose the language and the results per page (100 shows the top hundred on one page), then click Open in Google.
  4. 04In the Google tab press Ctrl+F (Cmd+F on a Mac) and type your domain to jump to it; count the organic results above it for the position.
  5. 05Change the location and open again to compare how the same keyword ranks from different cities.
(03) FAQ

Common questions

A location hint Google accepts in the search URL. It is the text "w+CAIQICI", a one-character length key and the canonical place name ("City,Region,Country" from Google's geotargets list) encoded in base64. Google treats the search as if it came from that place, so the local pack, country-specific pages and nearby shops appear as they would for someone there. It is the mechanism behind Google Ads' ad preview tool and most rank trackers.

Google serves results only to a browser running JavaScript and answers servers and scripts with a page that asks for verification. Showing scraped positions would mean showing stale or made-up data. Opening the URL in your own browser gives you Google's real page for that location, with the ads, map pack and snippets exactly as a searcher there sees them.

uule sets where the searcher is; gl sets which country's Google serves the query, which decides country-specific ranking rules and local domains. Normally they match, so the tool derives gl from the location, but you can override it, for example to see how a Pakistani searcher is served by Google UK.

It turns off personalised results for that search, so your own history and signed-in account influence the page as little as possible. Combined with a private window it gets close to what a new visitor in the chosen location sees. It does not change the location; the uule does that.

Yes. Any canonical name works, in the "City,Region,Country" form Google uses, such as "Multan,Punjab,Pakistan". If Google does not recognise the name it ignores the uule and falls back to the country code, so stick to the official spelling from Google's geotargets list when a place is not suggested.
